He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Nasarawa State University, further expanding his academic knowledge and professional expertise.

His educational journey reflects his conviction that learning should extend beyond the acquisition of certificates to becoming an instrument for personal growth and societal transformation.

Lecturer and Theatre Practitioner

As a part-time lecturer at the Federal University Lokoja, Ojochegbe contributes to the academic development of students.

His experience as a theatre practitioner provides him with practical knowledge that complements classroom teaching.

His professional interests span theatre practice, creative production, performance, technology and the use of the arts as tools for communication and social development.

Beyond the classroom, he is a Creative Director, Composer, Actor and Writer.

Through these roles, he has explored storytelling, music, drama and performance as means of communicating ideas and addressing issues affecting society.

Founder of Alliance of North Central Youth

One of the major aspects of Ojochegbe’s public engagement is his leadership of the Alliance of North Central Youth (ANCY), which he founded and coordinates nationally.

The organisation focuses on youth mobilisation, engagement, empowerment and participation in national development.

Through ANCY, Ojochegbe advocates greater youth inclusion in leadership, governance and civic affairs. The organisation’s activities have also emphasised civic engagement, voter education, peace and responsible participation in democratic processes.

His approach to youth development goes beyond politics, encompassing education, skills acquisition, leadership, entrepreneurship and civic responsibility.

Humanitarian Initiative

Ojochegbe is also the founder of the Joshua Ojochegbe HopeAlive Humanitarian Foundation.

The foundation represents his commitment to compassion, service and assistance to people and communities in need.

His humanitarian philosophy is based on the belief that leadership should be measured not merely by positions occupied but by the lives positively affected and opportunities created.

A Bridge Between Creativity and Social Development

Perhaps one of the defining features of Ojochegbe’s career is the connection between his different fields of interest.

As a theatre practitioner, he understands the power of storytelling. As an academic, he appreciates the transformative role of education. As a youth advocate, he promotes participation and inclusion, while his humanitarian activities reflect an emphasis on compassion and service.
