It was a spectacular celebration of love, culture and class as eminent Nigerians from across the country and beyond converged in Lagos on September 3 and 5, 2026, for the traditional and wedding ceremonies of Dr. Oghenekome Egukawhore, son of prominent Niger Delta leader and Chairman of Dewayles Group of Companies, High Chief Dr. Emonena Victor Wayles Egukawhore (JP), FCILG.

Dr. Oghenekome Egukawhore and his bride, former Miss Stephanie Spencer, now Mrs. Stephanie Egukawhore, were the cynosure of all eyes as they celebrated their union amid pomp, pageantry and a rich display of Nigerian culture and family tradition.

The ceremonies attracted an impressive gathering of political leaders, traditional rulers, business executives, senior military officers, professionals, family members, friends and well-wishers who travelled from different parts of Nigeria and beyond.

Among the distinguished guests were Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori; Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri; Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji; Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Dr. Peter Pereotubo Akpe, and a representative of the Ondo State Governor.

Also in attendance was former Delta State Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, while the Federal Government was represented by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri.

The high-profile event also attracted serving and former senators, members of the National and State Assemblies, serving and former commissioners, as well as former and serving local government chairmen from different parts of the country.
