2027: Muntaka Visits Balarabe Abdullahi, Seeks Support Ahead of Umaisha/Ugya Assembly Election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Umaisha/Ugya State Constituency, Hon. Muhammed Muntaka, has paid a solidarity and thank-you visit to the immediate past Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, ahead of the 2027 election.

Muntaka, who was accompanied by his wife, mother and other family members, visited the former Speaker at his residence in Lafia on Monday.

Speaking during the visit, Muntaka said he came to identify with Balarabe Abdullahi and seek his support and guidance as a political leader with strong ties to the constituency.

He assured the people of Umaisha/Ugya that, if elected, he would provide purposeful and quality representation while ensuring that the interests of all constituents receive attention.

Muntaka said his proposed leadership would be inclusive, stressing that he would serve everyone irrespective of political affiliation, religion or ethnicity.

He further promised to use his position in the State Assembly to pursue legislation and initiatives that could contribute to development across the constituency.

The candidate also praised Balarabe Abdullahi for his leadership experience and what he described as his good virtues and commitment to public service.

In his response, Balarabe Abdullahi thanked Muntaka and his family for the visit.

The former Speaker said Muntaka had, according to him, received the unanimous endorsement of the people of Umaisha/Ugya Constituency to represent them in the State Assembly in 2027.

He, however, advised the candidate to pursue his campaign peacefully and avoid calumny, distractions and unnecessary political confrontation.

Balarabe urged Muntaka to remain focused and develop a clear blueprint that would communicate his plans for the constituency to voters.

He also blessed the aspiration and wished the PDP candidate success in the forthcoming election.
