School is the most organised and coordinated settings anywhere in the world, closing it is akin to closing the future of the country. While the schools are closed down, other sectors that were closed down even after the closure of schools have reopened in Nigeria.

It may be recalled that over four months ago all the sector of the country’s economy were closed down; stopping vehicular and human movements as well as the entire economic activities, pending when an authentic solution is found as efforts have been ongoing by scientist and research experts to proffer solution, globally for the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Apparently, the lockdown order has been eased and all economic activities in the country have resumed except schools. The big question begging for answers is, are businesses like market, Churches, Mosques, and other public places as hotels which have opened all over, more organised and coordinated than schools? Do they observe the covid-19 safety measures or protocols put in place by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC?. One would wonder why the schools are closed down to date, and the government is insisting that even the graduating class at all levels should not resume sitting for their examination even when conspicuously election campaigns are going on in Edo and others.

Perhaps, the government shouldn’t make the populace think that it’s careless about the educational sector of the country, as they continue to convince Nigerians that a school is a place where the covid-19 virus could be contracted thereby leaving it locked.

Martin Luther King Jnr. Said ” Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”, so I’m calling on the Federal Government to review the order on the continued closure of schools by reopening it for the common good of the greatest majority. As the closure of schools remains a bane and Injustice done to the educational sector.
