As political parties prepared towards 2023 general elections, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reconstituted its kogi state chapter Executives at a voice votes election that returned it 33-officers un-opposed under the chairmanship of Hon Temitope Oggah during her crowd pulling state Congress held in Lokoja, the state capital.
The National Chairman of the party, Chief Okey Nwosu urged the re-elected chairman and his team to be pragmatic and take ownership of the party to enable it become a party to beat in the future elections in the state.
He lauded Chief leke Abejide,a member representing Yagba Federal Constituency for providing quality representation stating that has a Man of integrity the electors are feeling the impact of his representation.
The State Congress of African Democratic Congress which was marked with the receiving of thousands of People’s Democratic party and All progressives Congress supporters into its fold , according to him, signified a new dawn for the party and admonished them to mobilize men and women of proven integrity like Honourable Leke Abejide to the party.
While addressing thousands of party”s faithful, Hon Leke Abejide who represent the good people of Mopa/Amoro, Yagba east and West federal Constituency at the house of Representatives said he ventured into politics with the sole purpose to render sincere and selfish services to his clientale haven been given the mandate through the ballot box.
X-raying his leadership imprints in the last three years has a representative of the people, Honourable Leke Abejide posited that he took the bull by the horns to off-set the WAEC Fees of final students of his constituents both in public and private schools since 2019 stating that arrangements is in top gear to settled 2023 fees for all the final students.
Honourable Leke stated that five million naira has been donated to each of the seventy one communities which made up Yagba Federal Constituency to enable them identified and utilise the fund to site projects of their choice.
He revealed that during the period under reviewed, six hospitals within his Constituency were equipped with the state of the arts health facilities to boost affordable health care delivery services , while over six thousand widows which made up of every family in Yagba Federal Constituency have been taken care of.

Representatives Leke who came to the political limelight in 2019 under a relatively unknown Party and won impressively on the platform of African Democratic Congress ADC said his words is his bond stressing that three major deplorable roads in his Constituency have been contracted out for reconstruction, vehicles would be distributed as a gift to party supporters as a show of appreciation for their undying faith in him and the party.
The federal lawmaker disclosed that plan is on to provide succour like food stuff, clothes, stipend to about seven thousand widows to enable their families celebrate this year’s Christmas and New year with ease.
He praised the decampees who dumped their former party to ADC, saying that it was a wise decision taken as they will not regret their actions adding that a date with be specifically fixed to receive and celebrate them at the respective localities.
Representatives Leke Abejide boasted that his modest achievements registered in Yagba Federal Constituency would be replicated in the other Senatorial Districts if the citizens support the party and its candidates to clinch power at the State level come 2023 elections.
In a post election address,the recently re-elected State Chairman of African Democratic Congress, Temitope Oggah expressed happiness to the delegates and critical stakeholders of the party for finding him worthy to serve for another four years term.
He eulogized Representative Leke Abejide for working hard to justify his electioneering campaign promises nothing that he is promised keeper which has several Citizens to dump their previous parties to the African Democratic Congress.
