A Chieftain of governing All Progressives Congress, APC, and a frontline aspirant seeking to represent the good people of Nasarawa/Toto federal constituency for the upcoming 2023 elections, Hon. Chief Abdullahi Ibrahim Aibro, commiserated with Nasarawa local government emirate council, family and government over the passing of a political icon, Alhaji Bala Ahmed Tafida Nasarawa.

The hopeful Nasarawa/Toto House of Representatives aspirant expressed sadness over the death of a former Commissioner of Works and Housing who was also a Managing Director in the Aso Saving and Loan and Head of Department, HOD, in the Nasarawa State University Keffi among others.

Aibro who led a high power delegation to the residence of late Tafida Nasarawa, stating that he will be remembered for his great patriotism and his insight into national issues.

“Chief Tafida was a consummate elder statesman who played several defining roles in Nigeria’s democracy while alive.

“He will be remembered for his great patriotism and his insight into national issues.

Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim Aibro equally paid a condolence visit to the paramount ruler of Nasarawa Kingdom His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibril, where he urged the Royal Father and other senior tittle holders to accept the sad occurrence as the way Almighty Allah designed it.

In a special tribute to late Tafida Nasarawa, Aibro described the deceased as a father of all, humane and godly in dealing, a generous political icon and who had rendered services to the people of Nasarawa State most especially the people of Nasarawa LG.

Aibro recalled how late Tafida used his God’s given talent and wealth of experienced to secured jobs and admissions for the youths into the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, when he served as it’s Head of Department, HOD, Economic.

“He will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace, Alhaji Tafida,” Aibro said.

 

Our correspondent reports that Alhaji Ishaq Bala Ahmed Tafida Nasarawa died at late hours of Monday in Nasarawa LG, the administrative capital of the council, where he was said to be buried on Tuesday morning and in accordance with Islamic rites.

Late Tafida died at the age of 68.
