Idah Local Government Area in the Eastern part of Kogi State on Monday, 20th June 2022 witnessed another unprecedented epoch making event as Alhaji Shuaibu Abubakar Audu led members of his foundation to Commission a refurbished school project in the Area.
Alhaji Shuaibu Audu, who is the Grand Patron, Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation (SAAF), while addressing the mammoth at Idah town when he led his Foundation’s team to commission a refurbished school project by SAAF at the Mashaidi Islamic Primary school Idah, explained that he put up the foundation to cater for the people of Kogi State as part of efforts to improve her socio-economic activities.
The renowned Banker with about 20 years of experience who is the CEO IBTC Group in Lagos, Nigeria noted that he has been touching lives across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State through his Foundation in the areas of Education, healthcare and economic empowerment.
The Award winning philanthropist said he has passion for development, noting that he will continue to give back to the society.
According to him, his Foundation has successfully initiated, completed and commissioned some projects in both Western and Central Senatorial districts and extended same gesture to the Eastern flank of the State.
The SAAF Grand Patron pointed out that he brought his friend and United Nations Special Envoy to Kogi State to assist his Foundation in the area of generating more fund to carryout various functions effectively to enable the Foundation provide succor to the people of Kogi State irrespective of tribe, religion and social affiliation.
Also speaking, the United Nations Special Envoy, Mr. Philip Bonn Africa Edward, commended the people of Kogi State for their maximum cooperation, support, solidarity and prayers, and assured of his support to the Foundation to get more support from the International Organizations.
Earlier their remarks, the Chairman of Idah Local Government Area who was represented by his Vice and the Education Secretary of the Area, both lauded Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation for the relentless efforts geared towards restoring hope and confidence in education sector across the State.
They equally assured the Grand Patron, Shuaibu Abubakar Audu of their support and prayed God grant to him sound health, long life and prosperity as he continues to render more services to the people of the State.
In a vote of thanks, the Chairman, Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation, Hon. Daniel Idoko Ogacheko appreciated the grand patron of the foundation for using his international connection to attract meaningful development to the people of Kogi State.
Prince Ogacheko said thousands have benefited from the Foundation across the three senatorial districts of the State.
The event featured march-pass from students as mark of honour and appreciation to their August visitors as the SAAF Grand Patron accompanied by Special Envoy, Foundation team members, traditional rulers and other special guests of honour, inspected the rehabilitated block of classrooms.
Traditional rulers, party chieftains and supporters, other youths and women Groups, graced the occasion.
