All is set for 2023 Elehwa Cultural and Hunting Festival as organisers outline activities.

…Holds football match in honour of Governor Sule.

As part of activities to mark 2023 Elewha Cultural and Hunting Festival, a football match in honour of the Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule will hold on Monday, 25th December, 2023 in Shafa Abakpa, the ward headquarters of Shafa Abakpa in Toto Local Government Area.

The match which is aimed at appreciating the Governor for appointing Professor Othman Ahmed, Alhaji Usman Adams and Alhaji Danjuma Mohammed Oyoyo to serve in various capacities will hold at the Government Secondary School, Shafa Abakpa football pitch by four O’clock in the evening.

This is contained in a press statement issued by the Secretary General of Shafa Abakpa Community Association (SACA) Mr Sam Israel and made available to news men in Keffi.

According to the statement, the match will be between Justice Suleiman Galadima Football Club of Emani and a selected team from Lafia.

The game according to the statement is aimed at show casing the football artistry of Emani youths.

The statement quoted the chief organizer, Professor Othman as saying that the match is aimed at thanking Governor Sule for giving them the opportunity to serve in his government.

He called on all football lovers within and outside Toto Local Government Area and indeed the entire State to come and witness the historic match.

Meanwhile, activities lined up proceeding the main Elewha Cultural and Hunting Festival bild for Tuesday, 26th December, 2023 include a lecture to be delivered by Barrister Ramatu Liman of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi by Two O’clock in the afternoon of 25th December, 2023 and Miss Elewha Beauty contest slated for eight O’clock in the evening of that day, all holding in Shafa Abakpa tagged “Emani Christmas Day Events”

The main festival will hold in the morning of 26th December, 2023 where the hunters who spend nights at Emani Forest are expected to come out with their catches in procession to GSS Shafa Abakpa for the final occasion.
