An FCT stakeholder, Abubakar U. Sadiq, who also spoke at the meeting, decried the prolonged marginalization of the people of the FCT.

He said despite the outcry of natives of the FCT to have a representative at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, the federal government has continued to keep deaf ears to the demand of the natives.

“At least, if a native from FCT is appointed to be a member of FEC today, most of the challenges we are facing will surely get to the ears of Mr president,” he said.
