APC Primaries: Aguye wins Lokoja/Kogi Constituency

Despite the crisis that pervaded the Lokoja/Kogi APC federal constituency in Lokoja, the Chairman of the party in the state Hon. Abdullahi Bello was able to manage the situation that culminated in the success of the election

The rowdy situation was controlled by the Chairman of the party who personally persuaded the delegates to exercise restraints so that election can hold.

The Lokoja primaries were conducted after the Chairman’s intervention allowing illiterates too. vote via guides as against the advice of a government official to allow them not to vote.

“Every delegate has the right to vote or be voted for and all accredited delegates should be allowed to vote.”Bello insisted.

At the end of the poll, Moh Suleiman Aguye was declared the winner having polled 70 votes, while a member of the state assembly, Idris Ndakwo, and Saidu Akawu Salihu got 24 and 8 votes respectively.
