Aduda, who was speaking while inaugurating the party’s campaign council in Abuja, on Wednesday, said the inauguration the members was in furtherance with the FCT’s preparedness in the forthcoming elections slated for February, 2022.

He said since he has always been loyal to the course of PDP, under whose umbrella he has found a shade, all through his political sojourn, it became necessary to ensure all the candidates under party’s umbrella emerge victorious at the polls.

“In spite of any other rhetorics or dynamics, I am confident, that the FCT, belongs to the PDP when you evaluate competence, character and promise delivery, we are head and shoulders, above any other political party” he said.

He, therefore, urged members of the council to work assiduously for the success of the party at all levels, ranging from polling units, wards, area councils and state levels.

He added “And together, we can all make the right choices for the good people of FCT, and continue in the good works and legacies that are already built and established,” Aduda said.

Aduda, however, promised to continue to propagate the good works that he has achieved and consolidate upon it, across all the political wards of the FCT.

Also speaking, the state chairman of the PDP in FCT, Hon Sunday D. Zaka, said the party took its time to appoint committed and capable people to be members of the council so that they will ensure all the party’s candidates emerged victorious in February, 2023 general election.

He urged the members to bear in mind that the 2023 election is not only all about Senator Philip Aduda or the two house representatives members for both Abuja north and south federal constituencies, but to ensure the victory of the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

“As PDP, we finished the last local government election 62 councillors. And today, we have 44 councillors and left the other party with 18 councillors in FCT. So how on earth will PDP go back and complain that they didn’t win election in your polling unit? He asked.

He added ” and I want to charge you that this is not time for complain. You should not go back and start calling the state chairman or Senator Aduda or house reps members as you must sit-up,” he said.

According to him, the essence of nominating members of the council was not because they are better than others, saying the party decided to give them the task because of their talents in order to ensure PDP wins all the elective positions in 2023.
