Azara Hosts Nigerians As Emir Celebrates the 20th Anniversary On Throne.

Orominent Nigerians from all walks of life within and outside on Saturday converged on Azara in Awe local government area of Nasarawa State to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ascension of the Emir of Azara, Dr Kabiru Ibrahim.
Dr. Kabiru is the 13th Emir of Azara, who spent 20years on the throne, with a first-class status, succeeded his father Ibrahim who was the first black auditor general in the old plateau state.

Azara is the headquarters Development Area of Awe LGA in Nasarawa State, North Central Nigeria

The event was the 20th anniversary of the ancestral throne of the 13th Emir of Azara HRH. Dr Muhammed Kabiru Musa Ibrahim II and a Free Medical Outreach.

Governor Abdullahi Sule was the Special Guest of Honour at the event that saw the presence of Sultan of Sokoto and president-General, Nigerian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs and Chairman Northern Traditional Rulers’ Council, His Eminence Alh. Muhammed Sa’ad Abubakar III and HRH Alh Yunusa Baba the Onah of Abaji and Chairman FCT Traditional Council of Chiefs.

Governor Abdullahi Sule hailed the celebrated. Kabiru Musa Ibrahim for sustaining peace and unity among various ethnic nationalities and tribes in his domain and assured him of more government support.

led other members of the State House of Assembly to the historic event.

Senator Representing Nasarawa West at the National Assembly Senator Abdullahi Adamu was the Chairman of the event where he emphasized the significant roles of the traditional institution in championing the course of peace and unity in the society.

The Emir of Lafia Rtd Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad led other traditional rulers in the state to the occasion that also witnessed the presence of traditional rulers from Taraba, Plateau, Niger, Bauchi, Yobe and Adamawa States.

Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Present Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Sen. Godswill Akpabio, former and serving members of the National Assembly within and outside the state attended the event.

The event witnessed highly displayed cultural heritage just as praise singers also had their field day.

History has it that, He is a descendant of Muhammadu Jatau, a legendary warrior and a royalist of the Sefawa Dynasty of the Great Kanem-Borno Empire.
Dr. Kabiru succeeded the throne in 2001, after the demise of his father HRH. Alhaji Musa Ibrahim II was a renowned Chartered Accountant and the first black Auditor General of the then Plateau State.

It was gathered that upon his installation as the Emir of Azara on 26th December 2001, Dr Kabiru Musa Ibrahim has so far performed surgeries on citizen patients totalling 4,953.

A brand new V8 Toyota Land-Cruiser was presented to the Emir of Azara as Anniversary gift by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Sen. Godswill Akpabio.
