Following yesterday invasion by kidnappers who invaded Toto town and picked a couple who were in their residents to an unknown destination by the assailants. The Senate President of the National Association Of University Students (NAUS) Comr. Ibrahim Muhammed Lawal has not only condenmed the barbaric act but call on Nasarawa State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi A Sule to rise to occasion, and put a stop to the unabated lawlessness taken place in Toto and other places in the State.

The Student leader expressed sadness when he received a shocking news of the sad incident that occurred on Friday evening in Toto, saying continue abductions of his people may lead to people taken law into their hands to defend themselves and their host communities if the government does nothing about it.

Lawal described the sad experienced as vicious act which must be condemned in totality by all Nigerians irrespective of race, religion and parties consideration.

“I’m very saddened about this reoccurring insecurity in my community, its has over the years affected the autonomous community’s economy growth, development, which ‘Toto’ would have served as one of economy hub centers after Lafia, Karu in the State through its abundance solid minerals deposits and in addition, the LGA is blessed with agrarian land suitable for farming, fishing, lumbering and transportation business among others”.

According to Lawal, series of insecurity in the area has caused more poverty and killed major local markets that attracts investors from neighbouring states.

“I want to use this very medium to call on President Muhammadu Buhari as a matter of urgency to take serious actions against insecurity that has for so long cripple the economy growth and peaceful coexestence of Toto LG populace”.

“Banditry have become a serious problem affecting the host LG which is becoming unbearable, and threatening the national security”.

“We also call on the government of Nasarawa State under the able leadership of his Excellency, Governor Abdulahi A Sule to take urgent actions that may end insecurity in the area, considering the LG support to the ruling government before, during and after the 2019 general elections.

The young activist cum student leader pray to Almighty Allah to intervene in order to restore the deserted peace in the area the people have enjoyed in past before recent calamity befall her.

He also reminded the authority to not just stabilize the once peaceful area but to smoke out the law breakers as to serve as detterent to others who may replicate such the devilishly and wicked act. Lawal said.

Lawal is undergraduate student in Nasarawa State University, Keffi, elected NAUS Senate President, and hail from Toto, Toto LGA of Nasarawa State. He had over the years been critical on issue bothering his people.

It would be recalled on Friday evening precisely around 9 pm gunmen numbering about 9 were alledged to have invaded Adadu road in Toto local government area of Nasarawa State kidnapped a serving Director Personnel Management (DPM) in one of LGA in the State, Alhaji Alhassan Abdullahi who is popularly known as Sheikh and his wife Hajia Maimuna who works at General Hospital Toto was also picked and immediate marched to the bushed.

Middlereporters reliable confirmed that no communication has been heard or made between the abducted family members and the assailants.

It is also note that security has been beef up in Toto to keep surveillance against future occurrence
