The Ayekpa of Ozi community, Mall. Muhammed Yunusa (Cooler) has been conferred the Ondaki Ogbani (Madaki) of Ozi community title by Ohinoyi Samaza Gudu, HRH. Mall. Isah Shuaibu with the authority of the Chairman Lokoja/Koton-Karfe traditional council of chiefs, His Royal Majesty, Ohimegye Koton-Karfe (Agaba Idu) Alhaji Abdulrazaq Sani Isah-Koto.
The new Ondaki Ogbani was on Monday conferred with the title at a special peaceful gathering held at palace of Ohinoyi Samaza Gudu of Ozi community, Kogi Local Government Area amidst high presence of crowds in an event that had worthy sons and daughters of the Ozi as well as Legal Luminary, politicians and opinion molders within and outside were in attendance.
A former Kogi State lawmaker and legal luminary, Hon. Chief Barr. Tanko Ndako Abdulrahman (Santali Koton-Karfe) described Ozi people as industrious and very hard-working said his love for the community remain limitless.
“I am one with my people, they love me and I love them, I believe in them because they are industrious people, they are hardworking, whatever you will say today you can not take away the fact that Ozi people are peaceful and orderly, they are humble enough to serve under any assignment render to them and behave in manners that represent them wherever they found themselves. I want to appreciate Ohinoyi Samaza Gudu of Ozi, HRH. Mall. Isah Shuaibu and all the chiefs in council for their supports towards making sure the event ended successful without any hindrance. I want to also appreciate the paramount ruler of Koton-Karfe kingdom, Ohimegye Agaba Idu for his usual generosity and fatherly role.
Barr. Tanko Ndako advised the new Ondaki Ogbani to be fair and just in dealing and carry everybody along, adding that the Almighty Allah will question everyone on the day of judgment regarding any positions one hold.
While congratulating his people, Barr. Tanko Ndako Abdulrahman called on all the tittle holders to work for the overall interest of the community where development, peace and unity of purpose will be their watch words. He said.
In his address, the HRH. Mall. Isah Shuaibu, the Ohinoyi Samaza Gudu of Ozi community, thanked Ohimegye Koton-Karfe for his guidance and support which has been the light behind his progress, success assuring Ohimegye of his limitless loyalty and solidarity.
He charge all the chiefs to always avails and identify themselves by coming home to contributes their quota in taken their land forward. He said.
The new Ondaki Ogbani hail from Ohina Clan of (Omazagu), the descendants of Omazagu are as follow Okoro, Ozotu, Amana and Audu which the tittle was a rotation one but however misunderstanding broke out between the clan of Ohina. And today the story have change for good with the rightful owner emerging Ondaki Ogbani of the Kingdom.
