Governor Samuel Ortom said the death of the Chairman, Buruku Local Government Area, Honourable Daniel Deajir as quite shocking and devastating.
The Governor describes Hon Deajir as a gentleman and diligent administrator who was already making positive impact in his stewardship of the local government area before his sudden death.
He says the demise of the Council Chairman is a blow to the entire state.

Chief Press Secretary, January 8, 2021, said Governor Ortom consoles the government and people of Buruku, particularly the Deajir family over the irreparable loss, while praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
