CAST Lafia bill scales second reading at Nasarawa Assembly.

Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed into second reading A bill for A Law to Amend College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Lafia , Nasarawa State Law 2020 and other Matter Connected Thereof.

Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House announced the passage of the bill into second reading during the House proceedings in Lafia today.

He said that the bill if passed and assented to by Gov. Abdullahi Sule will change the headship name of the institution from Provost to Rector.

The Speaker committed the bill to the House Committee on Education to work on it and submit its report in four weeks time .

He said that the bill if passed, the nomenclature  of the provost of the institution will change to Rector.

Hon Luka Iliya Zhekaba, the Minority Leader of the House seconded the motion.

The House unanimously passed the bill into second reading after Hon( Dr)Peter Akwe and Hon (Barr) Esson Mairiga shade more lights on the bill.
