As kogi State citizens join other people of the world in their celebration of the triumphant entering into year 2021, the Chairman of Butchers Association Lokoja Local Government Area, Alhaji Idi Ibrahim enjoined the people of the state to co habit peacefully despite the socio economic challenges that befell the nation in the past year.
While appealing to the people to fraternise with themselves for witnessing a beautiful New Year despite the enormous challenges of last year, the Chairman in a new year message to the citizens of the state especially consumers of muton, congratulated them for overcoming the teething challenges of economic retardation caused by the out-break of the novel covid-19 pandemic which led millions of people to their premature graves ,and paralyzed the socio-economic activities of the world.
He also beseeched ALLAH Almighty for keeping the lives of the citizens that the major calamity did not befell on them as a result of the global health challenges.
Alhaji Idi Ibrahim gave assurance of the resolve of Cow dealers to satisfy consumers need, insisting that their operations will be strictly within their code of ethics.
The Chairman also reminded State Government of its promise to construct a State of the arts abattoir in a strategic place in Lokoja saying that the project if embark upon and completed would help in a great deal to provide hygienic meat for citizens.
