COVID-19: Kabba/Bunu SSA On Security Bans Crowds, Markets, Okada, Closed Schools.

In a bid to stem the spread of the Corona Virus in Kabba/Bunu Local government area, Hon. Adebayo Ariyo Kemuna the Senior Special Assistant on security to the governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has announced some measures that will safeguard the lives and health of the people.

Kemuna, while addressing stakeholders from the area stated that Okada motorcycle services has been suspended indefinitely

He disclosed further that markets and all worship centres such as mosques, churches and other forms of gathering have been banned, while Schools (public and private) are hereby closed indefinitely.

Also other social gatherings like weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies, beer parlours and gathering of over 30 persons are banned, Kemuna said.

“Consequently, visits to the office of the SSA Security, Kabba/Bunu LG and other offices are hereby postponed indefinitely and official appointments canceled.” He maintained.

He directed that all heads of security agencies to monitor and enforce strict compliance.

He therefore appealed to traditional and religious leaders to encourage compliance among their subjects and followers.

“Please let us all play our parts and avoid reckless actions that will put the families and the communities in danger. With the cooperation of the people obeying the public health guidelines, I believe this will pass us by in no time.

“The relevant government agencies will be monitoring. Let us take COVID19 seriously and observe good personal hygiene and other recommended precautions.” The SSA said.
