….Hails APC 11 man Committee headed by Kogi Speaker to review Nov. 11 election.

Following the newly established Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs by the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Kogi LG Director General Campaign for Ododo/Joel 2023, Alhaji Mohammed Shuaibu Asio has acknowledged the commitment of the present administration headed by Yahaya Bello to improve the well-being of the citizens through people’s oriented programs and policies.
Alhaji Asio stated this on Wednesdays in a telephone interview with Global Times Nigeria correspondent, where he bared his mind on numbers of developments initiated by the incumbent Governor Yahaya Bello in the State.
Global Times Nigeria reports that barely seven weeks to his exit from governance, Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has created another ministry, Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty alleviation and a Commissioner will be appointed after ratification by the State House of Assembly.
The Governor disclosed on Tuesday during the official flagoff of grants for 3000 vulnerable persons at the Government House Lokoja
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betty Edu was in the state to flag off the disburse money to the less privileged which beneficiaries confirmed they have received alerts from their banks.
Asio said the newly established ministry will go along way in disbanding poverty and assist the most vulnerable improved their wellbeing so that they can also cater for themselves.
He described the Governor as a rare gem, humane and through breed political leader whose administration brought redemption to the State.
He appreciated the Governor for always placed the priority of his people first and prayed for the success of his administration.
In another development, Hon Mohammed Shuaibu Asio has congratulated the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, 11 man committee inaugurated to review and evaluate the activities leading to the concluded November 11 election.
The committee was inaugurated by the State APC Chairman, Hon Abdullahi Bello with sole aim of looking into the activities leading to the November 11 election.
The inauguration held on Tuesday at the State party secretariat Lokoja, the state capital.
Global Times Nigeria correspondent report that that committee is expected to review and report on roles and performances of party members saddled with responsibility of prosecuting election process before, during and after the exercise.
According to Hon Bello, the 11 man Committee will also undertake detailed review of the process leading to the election, how it was executed across the 21 local government areas.
The 11 man committee had, the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf to head the Committee as Chairman, Rector Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman as Secretary and Hon Funsho Olumoko, Barr James Fabola, Sen.Atai Aidoko, Hon Yakubu Okala and Hon Idris Ozi Shaib serve as members.
Other members of the committee included, Hon Abdulsalam Ibrahim Ahovi, Barr. Ladi Jatto, Alhaji Hadi Ametuo, and Mohammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu respectively.
Shuaibu Asion in his congratulatory message to the newly inaugurated 11 man committee members tasked them on a thorough job in order to identify the bad eggs among them.
According to him, any person found wanting should not be spare which he said will serve as deterrent to others who may wish to toy on path of disloyalty and anti-party activities.
Asio, who is the Kogi State Director General for APC/Ododo/Joel 2023 concluded election said he has totally aligned himself with the committee, wish them success and prayed God to grant them the wisdom to pilot the new task given to them by the party.
He, however, asked the party leaders to reward the genuine members who sacrifice through their sincere commitments at ensuring the party win the last election in the State.
