Daughter naming: Bashir Gegu thanks dignitaries, party leaders and supporters for honouring his family

It was a crème de la crème at the just concluded naming ceremony of a newly birthed daughter to a serving Kogi State Commissioner in charge of Ministry for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu.

The occasion has the most distinguished politicians, supporters, friends, well-wishers and family members from far and near who converged in Lokoja to solidify with their leaders whom they described as a man of honour and man of the people.

Hon Bashir Gegu who named his daughter Akthar Rahama Abubakar in his Commissioner Quarters residence, Lokoja, Kogi State capital said on Friday that he was a fulfilled man having played host to hundreds of people within and outside Kogi State that has come to celebrate with him over the gift of life.

Akthar Rahama Abubakar was born on June 9th 2023 and June 16th 2023 was her naming ceremony in line to the Islamic rites.

Engineer Bashir Gegu is known in Lokoja/Kogi axis for his philanthropic activities ranging of rendering assistance to students, youths, women and elderly people in the society.

Reacting to the success of his daughter naming ceremony, the State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Hon Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu thanked Almighty Allah for making it a huge success and had returned all the glory for his mercy and favoured upon his and his entire family.

Mr. Gegu also appreciated those who made it to the occasion praying God to reward them abundantly.

Among those who attended the event include, LG chairmen, commissioners, SA’s, SSA’s, party stalwarts, supporters and well-wishers among others.
