…Urges Edevbie to stop the fight, emulate his bosses and political leaders.

Assistant Deputy Director, Media and Publicity of Delta State Campaign Council Management Committee, CMC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe Esq, has said that the unwavering support for the party’s governorship candidate, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor, by two past governors of the state, Chief James Onanefe Ibori and Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, has further strengthened the robust internal democracy in the party.

Oghenesivbe made the assertion in a live radio political programme monitored on Sunday in Warri, Delta State, saying that one of the special qualities that will always place PDP above other political parties is her strict adherence to the principles of equity and unity in diversity, which again played out after the Supreme Court judgement in Olorogun David Edevbie v Rt Hon Oborevwori Sheriff Francis Orohwedor.

He said all electioneering political power games were over in Delta PDP, and that the reunion process was facilitated by Olorogun David Edevbie when he righteously congratulated candidate Oborevwori after the apex Court ruling, adding that the good people of Delta State, party leaders and members across board are in one accord, working together to ensure landslide victory for Oborevwori and other candidates of the party on a five over five basis.

The PDP Campaign spokesperson respectfully appealed to former governorship aspirant Edevbie, to stop the power game fight and emulate his bosses and former governors; Chief James Onanefe Ibori and Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, by declaring his support openly for candidate Oborevwori, pointing out that such patriotic and positive move will obviously boost his political status and project him as loyal party man who considers party’s interests far and above personal interest.

Oghenesivbe, who is also the Executive Assistant on Communications to PDP Vice Presidential Candidate and governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, further disclosed that Chief Ibori and Dr Uduaghan, are major strong pillars of PDP who have contributed immensely to the development of the state, and shall always see to the victory of the party and her candidates in all elections, and that includes the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

“It was and still very heartwarming for all Deltans and PDP family when the news of our two former democratic governors; Chief James Onanefe Ibori and Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, rocked the airwaves, declaring their unwavering support for the candidature of the incoming governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Oborevwori Sheriff Francis Orohwedor and other candidates of the party.

“The major opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, is obviously saddened by the rain of endorsements for Candidate Oborevwori, and the overall implication is that opposition parties will not be able to win one local government in the forthcoming 2023 general elections in Delta State.

“With Chief Ibori and Dr Uduaghan firmly on our side, the electioneering political arsenal of Delta PDP is complete. We are ready to unleash havoc on the inconsequential opposition parties on election day in February and March next year.

“APC party ruined Nigeria economy in seven years with no solutions to the vexed issues of insecurity and senseless killing of Nigerians by ISWAP terrorist and Boko Haram militants. There is obvious breach of social contract by APC national government for her inability to secure lives and property and failure to fulfil all electioneering promises made to Nigerians.

“Fuel is selling at N230 per litre as against N86 in 2015, a loaf of bread now cost N1,500 as against N120 in 2015. All the Trunk “A” federal roads in Delta State have become death traps with regular accidents. There is no APC federal government presence in the State.

“Poverty, malnutrition and strange ailments pervades the land occasioned by poverty and poor health services in federal hospitals across Nigeria. Inflation has wrecked the wages and salaries of Nigerian workers. The Nsirs is worthless under APC and Buhari administration.

“The glaring mismanagement of the health and education sectors forcefully and regrettably sent our best doctors, nurses and University lecturers to other countries in Africa and around the world. APC deliberately destroyed the nation’s vibrant University system and yanked the qualitative education standards it inherited from PDP government in 2015.

“University students were out of school for over eight months this year, due to nonpayment of duly negotiated and agreed financial entitlements and proper funding of federal universities in Nigeria by APC national government led by President Buhari and Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“APC could not fulfil the electioneering campaign promises that President Mohmmadu Buhari made to the people in 2015 and 2019. Nigerians are ready and Willing to reject APC at the polls in 2023, for inflicting acute hardship and poverty on them. This is where we are, a nation in comatose and almost insolvent.

“Nigeria under APC national government is borrowing to service the neck breaking loans and huge debts incured by President Mohmmadu Buhari administration and there is absolutely no hope for our youth and all Nigerians as a result of the clueless and anti people policies and programmes of APC government at the centre.

“But the solution to Nigeria’s and Nigerians problems is here as contained in the political and electioneering manifesto of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON titled: “My Covenant With Nigerians.”

“Atiku-Okowa work document for economic recovery, sustainable growth and development is ready for implementation. The commencement date is May 29, 2023. It is therefore very important for all eligible voters to come out with their PVCs on February 25, to vote Atiku-Okowa, to reset Nigeria.

“Atiku-Okowa will bring about a new Nigeria of diverse opportunities, massive infrastructure development, peace building, security of lives and property as well as restructuring of Nigeria in positive response to the long canvassed resource control at regional and states levels to attract meaningful development across the country..

“Resetting Nigeria shall also be partly achieved through fiscal discipline, zero tolerance for corruption and nepotism, enhanced federal character principles and restructuring of Nigeria to facilitate deliberate production and export competitions among regions and states.

“State police and overhaul of federal security architecture would ensure peace and security of lives and property in the country. Nigeria shall be great again under PDP, Atiku-Okowa in all inclusive government of national rebirth.

“At the state level, Oborevwori ‘s M.O.R.E agenda promises to bring about result oriented; meaningfully development, opportunity for all Deltans, realistic reforms and enhanced peace and security, as well as social harmony and adherence to rule of law, equity, justice and good conscience,” Oghenesivbe assured.
