Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has been dressed down and taking to the cleaners by the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Oborevwori Sheriff Francis Orohwedor, for representing only the narrow interests of his Orogun Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area in Delta Central Senatorial District.

Oborevwori, who is also the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State while berating Senator Agege, noted that the Deputy Senate President did not justify the 2019 majority of votes from eight local government areas of Delta Central, thereby representing Orogun people’s interests as against the general interests of the good people of the Senatorial District at the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, within the past seven and half years and counting.

It is worthy of note that Agege’s poor scorecard triggered acute anger in the Ward to Ward campaign in Uvwie LGA by PDP governorship candidate, Oborevwori, as Uvwie people swore never to give their votes and political platforms to Agege, and assured PDP of their 5/5 bloc vote for Atiku-Okowa for President, Sheriff-Onyeme for Governor, Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Hon Barr Evelyn Oboro for House of Representatives and Hon Solomon Ighrakpata for House of Assembly, respectfully in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

The incoming excessive local content PDP governor of Delta State, disclosed that two major projects; the Federal Polytechnic and the Nigerian Law School, as well as other projects were deliberately and mischievously smuggled to Orogun Community by Senator Agege with nothing for other Ughelli North communities and seven local government areas that voted for him and his party in 2019.

“Senator Agege didn’t do well at all. He does not see beyond his Orogun Community and therefore cannot govern a state like Delta with several ethnic nationalities, as can be seen from his acute display of nepotism, self centeredness and despotic tendencies.

“I am a Pan Delta politician and also detribalise. but Agege is not a Pan Deltan, and it is only a Pan Deltan leader that can govern the state successfully like our amiable governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

“Senator Agege has sufficiently demonstrated that he does not see beyond Orogun Community. It is crystal clear that such a man cannot govern Delta State.

“I am very delighted to hear from the elders, women and youth that in Uvwie LGA, you already agreed to vote; Atiku-Okowa for President, Sheriff-Onyeme for Governor, Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Hon Barr Evelyn Oboro for House of Representatives and Hon Solomon Ighrakpata for House of Assembly,” Oborevwori. That’s the way to vote, to end APC poverty and to reset Nigeria.
