Edo 2024: Pictures Put Lies To APC Desperate Propaganda Machine Over Ogie’s UK Visit
By Yesufu Abubakar.
PICTURES of the event held in the United Kingdom at the weekend where Barrister Osarodion Ogie, the Secretary to Edo State Government and the Deputy Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has put lies to a press statement issued and signed by one Mr Tony Nigro Erhabor.
Mr Erhabor who is based in the UK, in a poorly scripted hatchet press statement said Barrister Osarodion Ogie’s visit was avoided by Edo citizens in the diaspora due to Governor Godwin Obaseki’s poor performance as Edo State Governor, a claim that was debunked by Mr Omorodion, Director of Media to Asue Ighodalo’s Diaspora Support Movement, UK branch.

Mr Omorodion Kadiri said Osarodion Ogie was well received in the UK and the pictures are there to tell the story and that the event captured his message of assurances to Edos in diaspora United Kingdom, as to how Edo State is blazing the trail of development back home in Nigeria.
Mr Omorodion said Ogie’s Eghosa Grammar old class mates in the diaspora were also in attendance where Ogie was played host to by the movement as part of the strategic efforts at rallying diaspora support for the AiO² movement.
“The Ighodalo-Ogie movement has become a major sing-song in the hearts and minds of Edo people at home and abroad”.
“Hardly a street, quarter, area, village, community etc, in Edo you will visit without finding genuine supporters of the AiO² project; campaign paraphernalia of the movement continues to adorn Edos everywhere you go”.
Ogie, who assembled over two hundred and fifty (250) or more Edos hammered specifically on the character, capacity, competence of the PDP governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo and himself, he also talked basically on the need to sustain ongoing civil and public service reforms, infrastructure growth, economic recalibration, Edo unity, fiscal prudence, safety and security of diasporan commitment in Edo, other essentials now prevalent in Edo State, under the Obaseki-led administration.
“There is need to build on these principles that now guides us as Edo people; the civil and public service reforms, fiscal accountability that is now very prevalent in our body polity must be seen to be sustained, preserved and built on, as we approach a new administration”, Ogie noted.
“Diasporan commitment accounts for huge chunk in the development of our dear State; the need for improved policies and programmes to sustain diaspora investments cannot be over-emphasized”, the deputy governorship candidate added.
Huge applauds followed the session as the deputy governorship candidate, Osarodion Ogie, responded brilliantly to queries fielded by Edos in diaspora, UK.
“We are very impressed with the responses of the PDP deputy governorship candidate, Osarodion Ogie; indeed, he has shown that the Party, PDP and its Candidates AiO² are ready for the top job; his responses are direct, detailed and bankable, we are very much impressed and will rally the vast majority of Edo diasporans for the AiO² movement” members of One Voice, UK, present at the meeting assured.
