Ex EYM President, Alhaji Abdullahi Kasim Ohizi

The former Nasarawa State President of Egbira Youth Movement (EYM) Alhaji Abdullahi Kasim Ohizi, has described the leadership quality of the Nasarawa state House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi as more gainful to the people of Toto Local Government and beyond.

Alhaji Kasim in a Sallah message said the Speaker has played his role in the floor of the house and hence the need to rally round him to do more for the people of the host LGA.

He said Speaker Balarabe is the only voice now representing Toto LG while the council has two members but wonder why the other has deviated from his responsibility.

Alhaji Kasim statement was made available to newsmen on Friday in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

According to him the youth of Toto/Gadabuke constituency who voted massively for the member representing her, Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa could not longer ascertain his whereabout?.

“Following the current trend of events in Toto LG raging from damage bridge in Kurudu, insecurity in Toto LG and lack physical achievement since he assume office over a year ago, Egbira Youth are totally disappointed with his aimless policy which is not accessible to his people, we wish to state without mincing words that the youth of Egbira extraction vehemently denounce the unfriendly attitude of Hon. Usman Labran Shafa”.

“While we note the essence and need for having a leader at a critical time like this, we, however, frown at the lawmaker poor representative, inconsiderate and selfish policy aim at taken us back to Egypt will not be acceptable”.

“We consider our fire brigade approach as one capable of achieving the total desired result for the unification of the Egbira race. This disgrace must stop now,” he said.

Alhaji Kasim Ohizi urged the youth to rise up and graduate from being referred to as mere future leaders to leaders of today and tomorrow, saying “hence we cannot afford to mortgage our future by maintaining failure on this pertinent issue.”

The Egbira youth called for a more inclusive and unified process, devoid of politics and political party colouration, adding “involvement of all relevant stakeholders in the Egbira nation will be more advantageous.

“We believe, his continued stay in that office beyond four year can jeopardise our future, if care is not taken, because it has caused more backwardness than any good.

“We hence charge him to put the interest of Egbira race first and his name so as not to be shamefully recounted in history as saboteur of the Egbira nation for personal aggrandizement,” it said.
