Esan 2023: Itulah Questions Ordia on His Third Term Bid.

On Thursday, one of the Senatorial aspirants vying for the Edo Central seat and former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Itulah told members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from Esan Northeast LGA that the votes from Uromi and Uzea secured the second term seat for the out going senator, Engr. Clifford Odia.

Itulah who made this revelation during the occasion of his formal declaration to contest the 2023 senatorial election, gave statistics of how votes were cast in all the five LGAs in Edo Central.
In his words: “In the 2019 NASS elections, Sen Odia was declared the winner by INEC with the following results; Esan Central, PDP 9,638, APC 9,232, Esan West, PDP 15,224, APC 12,340, while PDP with 6,151 votes lost to APC who got 8,265 vot s in Igueben.

Itulah went further to reveal that “while the APC got 10,381 votes in Esan Southeast, PDP got 11,789 votes.”
“In Esan northeast, APC 8,306 and the PDP got 13,796 votes to defeat APC with over 5,000 votes”.

Itulah said if not for the wide margin with which PDP defeated APC in Esan Northeast, Senator Clifford Odia wouldn’t have been a Senator for the second time in 2019, and wondered why he wants to deny the same LGA who gave him victory the opportunity for them to also represent the zone.

Rt. Hon. used the opportunity advised the LGA chairman, Mr. Inegbedion Clifford, to select a few party loyalists to meet with Senator Clifford Ordia to find out from him if it is true he is thinking or plotting the much talked about forbidden 3rd term agenda which is seen as a taboo in Esan land.
