Excitement in Kogi community as  Engr. Bashir Gegu donate N500,000 for Ozugbe community Mosque project, empowers 50 women in Girinya

The people of Kogi local government area of the State has lauded the continued philanthropic gesture of the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources representing them at the State Executive Council, Honourable (Engineer) Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu towards humanity and the people he represent.

This is coming after the Commissioner extended his ongoing empowerment programme to Ozugbe and Girinya on Saturday as part of effort to put smile on their faces respective of religion and tribal consideration.

The Kogi local government political leader said donating money for the completion of a mosque project is an act that attract huge reward God Almighty.

He said such acts of generosity and support for religious institutions contribute to fostering a sense of community and promoting religious freedom.

Engineer Gegu is a renowned empowerment strategy and had done so much in that direction with a special reference to youths, women and vulnerable people in the society.

Engineer Bashir Gegu’s love for Islamic religion is endless hence coughed out 500,000 naira to support the Zugbe community mosque project.

The said gesture will go along way in contributing hugely towards completion of the Masjid.

“Donations like these can have a positive impact on society by promoting inclusivity and understanding among different religious groups.”

In another development, Commissioner Gegu equally empowered 50 women in Girinya electoral ward.

He explained that empowerment was phases and was designed for women of Kogi LG being Zone A, B and C respectively.

He charged the women folks to come out en mass to vote for All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate, Alhaji Ododod Ahmed Usman and his running mate, Joel Oyibo Salifu in the upcoming circle off election.

According to Gegu, there is no government that had prioritised women, youths and vulnerable like ongoing Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello’s administration.

“For us to continue to enjoying such development we must make sure continuity by coming out en mass to vote for APC candidate.” he said.
