FCT Complaints Commission Seeks Collaboration With FRSC On Service Delivery

The Honourable Commissioner for Public Complaints Commission (PCC) representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ezekiel Musa Dalhatu, has called for a synergy between the commission and the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), for service delivery in the territory.

Dalhatu, who made the call when he paid a courtesy visit to the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Boboye Oyeyemi, at the corps headquarters in Abuja, on Monday, said the collaboration was necessary in order to ensure efficient service delivery to residents of the territory.

He said the Public Complaints Commission is constitutionally empowered to protect Nigerians against all kinds of administrative injustice.

He said the PCC would ensure it synergize and also enhance a cordial relationship with the FRSC in resolving issues that may come before the commission, adding that the commission would ensure nobody is short -changed.

“And I want to the FRSC that the commission under my watch shall ensure that there is cordial relationship with the FRSC I am going to assure you that we are going to have a smooth working relationship to ensure that Nigerians would have no reason to doubt the FRSC, but to applaud the good your men are doing to save lives and property of Nigerians,” he said.

The commissioner, further commended the agency for its efforts in ensuring safety on the country’s highways.

Responding, the Corps Marshal/ Chief executive of the FRSC, Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, who was represented by the Deputy Corps Marshal in charge of Administration and Human Resources, Mrs Ojeme Ewhrudjakpo, said the FRSC was ever really to collaborate with the public complaints commission as part of its efforts towards achieving the goals of the agency.

The corps Marshal appreciated the PCC Commissioner for spearing time out of his tight schedule to paid him a courtesy visit, three weeks after he assumed office.

” And to also tell you that we will always reply and comply with your office whenever it is that you have complained about, as we are ever ready give you a listening ear,” he said.

He added “We also want that synergy and like you have said, as there are a lot of complaints against us l come to you”.
