The senior special assistant on youth matters to the FCT minister, Commandant Isaac David, has bagged an award of the Pan American Leadership Prize for Excellence by the leadership of the African Students Union Parliament.
David, who is also the commandant of the Abuja Original Inhabitants Development Organization (AOIYE) an umbrella body of the FCT natives, was recognized with the award in Abuja on Monday.
The delegation of the students union parliament was led by the speaker of the union, Hon. Kewell Mensah Sule, from the University of Professional Studies, Madina, Accra-Ghana, presented the award.
He described commandant Isaac David, as an astute personality in the African continent, whom he said has been making an indelible positive impact through his quality leadership.
He said commandant David has demonstrated in various capacities the leadership of inclusiveness without prejudice, which he said prompted the students union parliament to present him the award.
According to him, the AOIYE commandant has shown to be the true definition of the true son of Africa, adding that his attributes of a good leader earned him the award.
Responding, commandant Isaac David, appreciated the students union parliament for identifying with his leadership qualities far away from Accra Ghana, saying the award is a booster to him to continue to do more for the youth of the FCT.
Our correspondent report commandant David was also decorated with a Ghanian attire, which symbolizes Africanism.
