The Chairmanship Candidate for the February 12, 2022 Chairmanship election on the platform of the All Progressives (Congress APC) in Gwagwalada Area Council, Hon Abubakar Jibrin Giri, has called on members and supporters of the party to take advantage of the online ongoing continuous voter registration to ensure they are duly registered.
Hon Giri, made the call when he met with the ten wards councillors candidates across the ten political wards of the council and some serving councillors as well as the caretaker chairman and secretary of the party at his Giri residence on Tuesday.

He said since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared that the online voter registration was ongoing, there was the need for all members and supporters of the party to use the advantage to register.
He said it was paramount for the councillorship candidate across the ten wards, party executives and stakeholders to sensitize members and supporters of the APC on the need for them get registered.
“Since INEC had already declared that the online voter registration exercise is ongoing, it is imperative to sensitize both our APC members and supporters on the need for them to take advantage of the ongoing online voter registration to go and register,” he said.
According to him, voter cards is the weapons they will use on election to cast vote for all candidates of the party during the forthcoming council election in the area, even as he said he was comfortable with the ongoing voter registration exercise by INEC.

Also speaking, the caretaker chairman of the APC in Gwagwalada area council, Ahmad Danbaba, said the meeting with councillors candidates of the party to have an update about the ongoing online voter registration exercise across the council.
He observed that the ongoing online voter registration exercise was a relief to members of the party, saying it will go a long way to reduce the stress of some members and supporters to travel far to INEC office to registered.
“And as you can see, most of the people that have been registered have gotten a date that they will go for data capturing at the INEC office, which I am very comfortable with the ongoing online voter registration exercise,” he said.
