FCT Polls: Ona Of Abaji Urges APC Candidate, Supporters To Maintain Peace, Unity.

The Ona of Abaji and chairman of the FCT Council of traditional rulers, His Royal Majesty (HRM) Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, has urged the APC chairmanship candidate in the February 12, 2022 council election in the area Alhaji Mohammed Angulu Loko, to ensure he and his supporters maintain peace before, during and after election.
Alhaji Yunusa, who made the call when he received the APC chairmanship candidate and some party executives at his palace on Thursday, said if the emergence of the APC chairmanship candidate was the best for the council, he prayed for God to let it be.
He stressed on the need for both supporters of the candidate to eschew any form of violence during the electioneering campaign, saying politics always come and go, hence, the peace and unity of all should be seen as paramount.

Earlier, the chairman of the APC in the area, Alhaji Mohammed Haruna Yaba, told the monarch the party decided to come along with its candidate to his palace in order to seek for his prayers and blessings ahead of the council polls.

He assured the monarch that the party shall continue to maintain peace among its supporters and other political parties before, during and after the election.
The chairmanship candidate and his team later proceeded to meet with some APC elders in the area.
