FCT youth vanguard lauds minister over Candido’s appointment as transport secretary.
A youth group, the FCT Progressive Youth Vanguard (FPYV) has commended minister of the FCT, Muhammad Musa Bello, over appointment of the immediate past chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Candido as mandate secretary for transportation.
A statement signed by the coordinator general of the group, Comrade Zaka Nehemiah, and issued to newsmen in Abuja, on Monday, noted that the appointment of the former AMAC chairman as transportation secretary is beginning of reformative of the FCT transportation system.
He said the coming of the new transportation secretary will no doubt restructure and reform the entire transport sector as in line with the Abuja transportation system.
According to him, the appointment of the former council chairman was is an attestation of the level of responsiveness and responsibility of the FCT administration to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of governance.

“And it was on this premise that the FCT youth vanguard commend the FCT minister Muhammad Musa Bello, for putting peg in a round hole in that particular appointment considering the transformational record, developmental orientation, innovation, acceptability and popularity of the appointee,” he said.
He, however, said that the youth vanguard has to a large extent been at the forefront of the advocacy on the need for the FCT administration to appoint a new mandate secretary for transportation to fill the vacuum created by the resignation of the APC senatorial candidate in the FCT, Alhaji Zakari Angulu Dobi.

“We are also delighted that the administration did not just respond to the demands but appointed a competent and capable hand like Hon Adamu Candido to superintend on the secretariat for the betterment of all and sundry,” the statement said.
The youth group, therefore, expressed confidence in the FCT minister Muhammad Musa Bello in constituting of boards for ministries, department and agencies in no distance time.
