Federal lawmaker Charged Beneficiaries Of CBN Loan In Kogi To Create jobs

A nongovernmental organization, Orchid Consulting, a foundation for training, consultancy, financial & management advisory has trained  40 people  to explore entrepreneurship skills to access window of loan opportunities available to enhance their productivity.

Orchid Consulting established about ten years ago said its emphasis is on ventures that, in the long run impact on the people so as to eradicate poverty in the country.

The founder of the consulting, Mr James Egwu stated this yesterday at 5-day empowerment program in different skill acquisition as part of activities to equipped the entrepreneurs for challenges holding in Idah Kogi State .

‘’The initiative is to prepare them to understand on how to access up to N10m naira CBN/NISRAL AGSMEIS LOAN  international and national marketing,’’ said the founder of the consulting .

‘’The training include record-keeping, how to access fund and products exportation and mentorship, among others”.

To provide careers,  technical and vocational education and training that equips people – children,  young adults and skills of all class, gender and social background -with practical and functional skills., takes centre stage.

According to Mr James Egwu this training helps to expose individuals, group and communities to real work activities and support them to develop local expertise and skills in local community’s available areas of comparative advantage and ensure sustainable development and improve productivity

He noted that it provides training for trainees through formal classroom instruction, non-formal and informal training which includes but not limited tailored workshops,  seminars and capacity building programmes,  to ensure entrepreneurs.

“The training also provides opportunity and access for artisans and out of school persons and artisans and local entrepreneurs from non formal education outfits for formal testing,  examination and certification in respective of  trades as available as well as joint certification programs

To instill self esteem, self worth,  positive work values,  confidence and leadership skills through life skills.

To achieve organizational and academic excellence and  support communities  and groups to undertake social and behavioral changes and to provide avenues for mentorship internship and apprenticeships to entrepreneurs.

Earlier, Member representing, Idah , Ibaji, Igalamela, Odolu and Ofu Federal Constituency at National Assembly, Honourable David Zacharia who facilitated the programme for 40 of his constituents said the gesture is to create entrepreneurs that will help in engaging the youths in the area.

Hon. Zacharia who is known for his philanthropist  said that the All Progressive Congress, APC led government at level is determined to ensure every youth and women in the country are gainfully engaged.

The Federal Lawmaker urged the participants to maximise the opportunity and utilise the fund when eventually released.
