Hon. Alhaji Abdullahi Kasim Ohizi is the former President of Egbura Youth Movement (EYM) in Nasarawa State and has called on the helmsman of the Toto Local Government council, Hon. Prince Nuhu Adamu Dauda to as a matter of public health and general interest to rehabilitate and equip the dilapidated Toto Youth Center and Toto Abattoir situated in Adagu community of Toto district for efficient service delivery.
Alhaji Kasim who is also a former state Assembly aspirant representing Toto/Gadabuke Constituency under the platform of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) made the call in a telephone interview with Globaltimesnigeria.com correspondent, Yahaya Idris Toto.
He explained that the town hall is totally in bad shape, the rooms, floor, ceiling are nothing but an eyesore.
Alhaji Kasim Ohizi who regretted that the town hall which was built and handed over by the former Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu and now Senator representing Nasarawa west to the local government authority for quality social service of the people, or lacked adequate facility to meet up with expectations.
He expressed shocked and disappointment that same dilapidated house which now look like a shrined was used to house some of the critical stakeholders who recently used the facility for a meeting where the likes of the Speaker of the state house of Assembly, State house of Assembly member, State FCT APC Chairman, Alhaji Yahaya Ibrahim Osada, Barr. Labaran Magaji and State commissioner of health and among others.
The former Egbura youth leader observed that the situation of the facility had given the people of the area a bad name, described the situation as most Unfortunate in history of the council.
He called on the Executive Chairman of Toto LG, Hon. Prince Nuhu Adamu Dauda on the need to urgently embark on the rehabilitation and equipping of the town hall to meet up with its aim and objectives.
On poor state of Toto Abattoir, he expressed worry that many lives had been lost as a result of poor hygienic in the area.
He described the present status of the Abattoir as waste bin that now house all sort of dirt in the community. He said.
Speaking further, Alhaji Kasim Ohizi also lend his voice on the forthcoming council poll in the state, he pleaded with the stakeholders to allow the popular candidate to fly the party flag in during the process for peace, equity and development of the area.
