Gov Bello receives new Commissioner of Police Bethrand in Kogi.

…..Says fight against crime, economic sabotage sacrosanct.

Barely 4 months to gubernatorial election in Kogi State, a new Commissioner of police has be deployed to maintain peace and order before, during and after the slated poll.

Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Executive Goveror of Kogi State, has player host to new Commissioner of Police for Kogi State Command, Onuoha Bethrand.

While receiving the Police Chief Bello reiterated his administration’s commitment to the fight against crime and economic sabotage in the State.

In a press release issued by Onogwu Muhammed,
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, assured various security agencies of his sincere support to enable them carried out their official engagement without hindrance.

He assured CP Onuoha Bethrand of the citizens cooperation and willingness to provide intelligence and information that will assist security agencies in enhancing their operations.

Global Times Nigeria reports that CP Onuoha Bethrand took over from Akeem Yusuf.

On his part, CP Onuoha Bethrand lauded Governor Yahaya Bello’s efforts in securing the state and acknowledged his administration’s successes in various sectors.

He pledged the Nigerian Police Force’s commitment and support in maintaining a safe and secure Kogi State where he is deployed. He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts with other security agencies to sustain the current peace enjoyed in the state.

CP Onuoha expressed awareness of the achievements made by the Kogi State Government in partnership with security agencies to combat crimes. He promised to build upon these successes as the Commissioner of Police for Kogi State Command. CP Onuoha Bethrand recently assumed command from Akeem Yusuf, who was redeployed to Force Headquarters in Abuja.
