Gov Umahi appoints Ideato Okoli as Imo Coordinator of Presidential Campaign Organization.

A political Analyst and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Ideato C. Ideato Okoli, was on Sunday, appointed by Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State as Imo state Coordinator of his 2023 Presidential Campaign Organization.
It would be recalled that Governor David Umahi had earlier in January met President Muhammadu Buhari where he informed the country’s leader of his intention to contest for the seat of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the coming 2023 general election on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
In a statement obtained by our correspondent on Monday, the appointee, Ideato Okoli, reiterated that his unwavering commitment and that of other coordinators and members of the presidential team across the country to ensure a southeastern emerges as the flag-bearer if not for the two major political parties, at least for APC.
The Imo Coordinator noted that Governor David Umahi has raised the bar in Infrastructure and other sectors in the development of Ebonyi and also solicited the maximum support and prayers towards realizing the project at a very critical stage in our national history.
According to Ideato Okoli in his statement which partly said, “With a deep sense of responsibility and gratitude to God Almighty, l want to announce that yesterday l was appointed Imo State Presidential Campaign Coordinator for Engr. Dave Nweze Umahi fine fate under our great party APC.
“To this effect l solicit for your prayer and your support towards this project at a very critical stage in our national history.
“Recall that 2023 will be 56 years since after the civil war. That means the generation before and after the civil war are yet to see a South Easterner rule this Country. Our most important focus is to ensure that a South Easterner emerges as the flag bearer if not for the two major parties, at least for APC.
“To this effect, we are looking at Competence, capacity, Character, Accountability and record of stewardship. Given where Ebonyi was six and half years ago and where Ebonyi is today as a reference point among the 36 States in Nigeria, l and millions of Nigerians wia an a that believe lives that ENGR. DAVID NWAEZE UMAHI IS THE ANSWER.
“ln the days and weeks ahead we shall be previewing his account of stewardship over the last six years to buttress my PO, therefore, before asking for your support and prayer as we embark on this task ahead.
“May God honour you as you objective look at the aspirants that will be presented to you purely based on merit and not emotion or sentiment. As we engage, let’s do so backed with facts and constructive criticism where the need arises”.
