Governor Sule’s Aide Lamus laid to rest amid tears, Nasarawa Speaker leads other lawmakers to funeral service in Wamba.

 

The departed Special Adviser on Special Duties to Governor Abdullahi Sule, Hon. Murtala Lamus has been laid to rest in his country home Wamaba local government area, Northern District of the State.

Nasarawa State House of Assembly Speaker, Alhaji Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Governor Abdullahi Sule, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Congress, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, State lawmaker, National Assembly members, state appointees, family, friends and other mourners across the State on Tuesday attended the funeral service of departed Hon Murtala Lamus, the Special Adviser to Gov. Abdullahi Sule on Special Duties.

The Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi, who eulogized the good virtues of the deceased as a man of great honour and integrity said that he has contributed greatly to the development of the State and the present government.

He described his demise as very shocking, colossal and painful saying it is one death too many to bear.

Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi condoled with Gov. Abdullahi Sule and the people of the state over the great loss while praying God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him paradise as his final home.

He enjoined his family and associates to see his death as an act of God and continue to pray for him to have eternal rest.

Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi added that the demise of Hon Murtala Alhassan Lamus will create a huge gap and vacuum that will be hard to fill, adding that the state and the government will greatly missed his contributions.
