“I Am Shocked To The Marrow Of My Bones Over the Zamfara School Girls Abduction”, – Minister, Tallen

The Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen has expressed shock over the kidnapped of over 350 Government Girls’ Secondary School, Jangebe, Talata Mafara, Zamfara State at about 1:40 hours of Friday 26, February, 2021.

Tallen in a press statement she personally signed and issued on Friday evening said she is pained and shocked.

“I am shocked to the marrow of my bones over the recent abduction of our school children in Zamfara State, coming only a few days to a similar happening in Kagara, Niger State”.

“The frequency of this dastardly acts are meant to instill fear in our citizens and undermine our corporate existence.

“Let me, on behalf of our women and children categorically state that we stand by President Muhammadu Buhari’s government in this very trying moment.

“I believe in the capacity of our security operatives to stamp out these isolated terror attacks.

“There is no amount of terrorist instigated fear that can shake or undermine the foundation of our dear country.

“These misguided individuals and their sponsors should do a thing and embrace peace.

“I beg the captors of these young girls, to, in the name of the Almighty, release these innocent children.

The Women Affairs Minister also called on the security operatives to deploy all known skills to rescue the children unharmed.
