Just In: Gov Obaseki Sacks Personal Assistant, Other appointees

Edo state Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki is reported to have allegedly relieved of his personal Assistant Mr. Tijania Nwedei, his Private principal Secretary, and some appointees of their positions, our reporter confirmed.

Tijani’s who has been handling major functions of the former Chief of staff to the Governor Taiwo Akerele, his sack is linked to mismanagement of public funds and lack of transparency in the allocation of resources to various sectors as it concerns staffs within Osadebe Avenue, while other affected appointees are sacked in order to completely remove loyalists to the former CoS from the government house, and this is currently a top secret in Edo state government house.

Recall that things started falling apart for the Governor when he (Obaseki) after he deviated from the progressive foundation laid by his predecessor and the National Chairman of the APC who is now generally referred to as the Father of modern Edo State.

As at the time of this report the Governor was yet to state a particular reason for the sudden sack of his Personal Assistant, his Private Principal Secretary and other appointees, although investigation is already on to ascertain the reason for the sudden sack.
