KOBA, Omadefu, Education Commissioner, hail CBN for carrying out Multi-million Naira project in Government College, Keffi.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has approved seven different multi-million naira projects that it will carryout in Government College Keffi, Nasarawa State to enhance the standard of education in the premier institution.

in view of this, Keffi Old Boys Association KOBA and the State Ministry of Education are set to hand over the facilities that work will be carried out on to the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN and the contractors this Wednesday.

Briefing Newsmen in Lafia the Nasarawa State Capital, National Secretary of KOBA, Mr. Sam Israel revealed that the works includes renovation of Kaduna House Hostel, some Class room Blocks, construction of new hostel building in Katsina Ala house, Dinning, Kitchen, Assembly Hall and student Clinic,

Others according to the KOBA Scribe will involves Furnishing and equipping of facilities at both the renovating and constructing structures as well as electricity and water works upgrading.

Mr Israel added that, the State Ministry of Education and KOBA leadership will be handing over the projects to CBN contractors on Wednesday 31st March, 2021 at Government College Keffi by noon Calling on KOBA members and stakeholders to witness the event.

The President General of KOBA Engr. Edward Ujege in a statement said the projects are aimed at complementing the Nasarawa State Government efforts in repositioning the education sector and appreciated the Deputy Governor of Central Bank who is a KOBA member Mr. Edward Adamu for facilitating the project which is under CBN social cooperate responsibility (SCR).

On their parts, the Nasarawa State KOBA President Arch. Umar Shittu and a KOBA Lawmaker in the state Hon. Mohammed Adamu Omadefu (APC Keana), Chairman, House Committee on Information, who described the intervention as heartwarming assured the contractors of all the necessary support in carrying out the work.

The state Commissioner for education, Hajiya Fatu Jimeta Sabo commended CBN and KOBA’s efforts in extending such multi-million Naira project to the state, noting that the state government has placed top most priority to the education sector and will give CBN all the necessary support from starting to the finishing of the work which she described as a remarkable intervention.
