Kogi Assembly Speaker congratulates state minister nominee, Prince Audu

The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf has congratulated the minister  nominee from the state, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu.

This is contained in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mohammed Mohammed, a copy of which has been made available to the media in Lokoja.

According to the statement, the speaker believes that the ministerial nominee is a round peg in a round hole, and expressed confidence in the ability of Prince Audu to justify the confidence and give excellent representation for the state at the Federal Executive Council.

The Speaker restated his belief that the nominee would make positive impact and be a useful resource for the APC and the state at national level.

Rt Hon Yusuf used the opportunity to thank the state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for nominating Prince Audu, stressing that it shows his political sagacity and fairness when it comes to political dividends across the state.

He noted that the nomination has also added a pep to the current political discourse and permutations in Kogi State, adding that the nominee, who is the son of the former governor, is a positive gesture.

The Speaker enjoined the people of the state to remain resolute in their support for the APC as the November 11 gubernatorial election draws near, adding that Kogi has a lot to gain by sustaining their support for the party.
