Kogi election: First class monarch, Nyiwo of Gegu Beki donate a cow to be used in celebrating APC’s Ododo victory

Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration has continued to receive support from traditional rulers across the state and with a call on their subjects to work hard to enthrone his successor, the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship candidate for November 11 election, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, in order to consolidate on the gains already achieved.
In a lead of appreciation to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, a first class monarch, Nyiwo of Gegu Beki chiefdom, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Alhassan Abba Muhammed has declared open support to the governing APC and it’s candidate for the slated election, Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The first class monarch made the endorsement when he donated a live a cow to APC leaders in the area as part of his support to ensure APC retain power in Kogi.
The monarch said the incumbent Governor has liberated Egbira race and there is need to queue behind him to gain more.
Alhaji Abba Muhammed said the support became necessary following the unprecedented achievements of present APC led administration in Kogi LG, saying Governor Yahaya Bello have performed tremendously, hence to render more support to enable the party win and do more.
He explained that since Governor Bello assumption of office security challenge has been a thing of the past.
According to him, the Governor also built one of the best hospital in Kogi LG, graded and upgraded some chiefs in an effort to balance political equation in the state.
Reacting to the development, Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources said for a royal father donating a cow to be used in celebrating a victory is a meaningful and traditional gesture to encourage and thanked the workaholic Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
According to Gegu, It not only brings joy and a sense of community, but also symbolizes abundance and gratitude to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and his new direction team.
“This act of generosity by the traditional ruler shows their support and appreciation for the achievement. It’s a testament to the importance of traditions and coming together to commemorate special moments.” Gegu said.
Global Times Nigeria investigation revealed that Commissioner Bashir Gegu is a native of Gegu Beki, Zone C area of the Kogi LG and have used his good office to facilitate series of development to the council.
