Kogi: Gallant Police Officer, Alfred Usman Celebrates Birthday In Grand Style.

IDRIS AHMED, Lokoja

In recognition of the gallantry of a Police Officer, Mr Alfred Usman, in the fight against crime in Kogi state, Lokoja residents, Stakeholders, friends, colleagues, family members converged to mark his birthday recently.

The event was organised by friends and concerned citizens who acknowledged his gallantry in the course of the fight against crime and criminality, was attended by prominent community leaders, business men and women, academics and Security personnel from within the command and various stations and outposts.

In their various goodwill messages, the groups prayed to Almighty God to wished the gallant offIcer happy more years, good health, prosperity and God’s protection.

In his response the celebrant, Alfred Usman, thanked all the people of the state, the State Commissioner of Police, his DPO, Commanders, friends and well-wishers for the support throughout his service in Kogi state.

While commending all those that were opportune to attend the ceremony, Alfred Usman assured them of his unalloyed commitment to his duty as a police officer, loyal to the CP Kogi state and loyal to all his superiors.

He called on all to continue to pray for the Police attain successes in their determined efforts to contain and combat crime and criminality anywhere in the country.

Alfred Usman, who hails from Adamawa state, has served in Kogi state for 20 years.

He has contributed immensely in the maintenance of peace, promotion of social and religious activities in the state.

According to him, ” I sincerely appreciate all the notable personalities that are here to celebrate me, I am from Adamawa state, but I’m officially posted to kogi state since 20 years ago, and I am not surprised that many Kogi indigenes are here for my birthday to celebrate me, I am indeed very grateful to everyone”, he said.
