Kogi Govt. Orders Screening Of Traditional Rulers To Fish out Fake Chiefs, Orders Administrators to Always Remain In Their LGAs

Kogi state government has directed the Administrators of the 21 local government areas to screen traditional rulers so as to fish out fake chiefs who have infiltrated into traditional institutions.

A statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Rufai Enero Sule, said the order was handed down by the Commissioner Barrister Salami Momodu Ozigi on Monday during a critical meeting with the Administrators of the Local Governments.

“Henceforth any one found parading himself in traditional Chiefs’ regalia without the authority of government will be apprehended and dully charged to court for impersonation “The statement said.

According to the statement, the Commissioner also directed all the local government Administrators to always remain in their various areas of assignment.

The Administrators were also warned against flouting the order or face disciplinary action. ” Any Administrator found going against this warning shall be queried and be disciplined appropriately.”.
