Kogi Guber: Accord party’s guber candidate is most qualified, competent, Ebira Group Tells Jibrin Usman
The candidate of the Accord party in the Kogi state forthcoming governorship election, Admiral (Rtd) Jibrin Usman has been offered words of assurance by the people of Kogi Central.
The former Chief of Naval Staff told the large crowd who trooped our in their large numbers to receive him on Friday in Okene that the “suffering the peoplel are going through are what Kogi West and East Senatorial distrits are also passing through,” noting that he would reverse the current state of infrastructure decadence across the nooks and crannies of the state when elected Governor.
Jibrin assured the people at a quick reception held in his honour in Okene local government of the state that their plights and sufferings would become a thing of the past when elected Governor of Kogi urging them to have faith in him and his party.
“I have gone round the nooks and crannies of Kogi state, I have seen the hardship of kogites, where hunger, poverty, thuggery and high level of infrastructure decay are the order of the day.
“Let me assure all of you that immediately you elected me as your Governor, I will quickly put a neasure that would address your sufferings and restore sanity and good governance in our state.
“Let me also assure the primary school teachers and Local Government staff across the state that when elected your Governor, your percentage salary and neglect from the ruling All Progressives Congress would become history. You will enjoy your full salary just like it is done in other sectors. We must come together as one people and fight our common enemy.
“We need to pay attention to our women. We must empower them. Women are the bedrock of every society. I will empoer our mothers so that all of us can have enough to eat when you elected me your Governor.
“When elected Governor of Kogi, I will roll out massive empowerment for our youths to reduce vices and increase responsibility among the people. We will create gainfully employments for our teeming unemployed youths across the nooks and crannies of Kogi state,” he said.
In their responses, the people of Okene told the candidate that they have placed all the governirship candidates on “a scale, noting that even those vying for the same position with him, know that he (Admiral Jibrin Usman) is the most qualified and ready to be the next Governor of Kogi state.”
They promised the Accord flagbearer that they will come out en-mass in the overnorship election and vote massively for Jibrin, whom they noted has “the experience, capacity and wisdom to lead them right for a prosperous Kogi state worthy of their dream.”
