A pro-democracy group, Kogi Lineage has extended their warmest congratulations on the electoral victory of the Kogi State Governor elect, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo.
The group’s Coordinator, Hon Ismaila Abubakar Ahovi (OKADIGBO) made the disclosure when they paid a congratulatory visit to the Kogi State Acting Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Comrade Osiako Ezekiel Sunday at his country home, Ogori, the administrative headquarters of Ogori Mangogo Local Government Area of the State.
He group equally described Ododo’s victory as well-deserved one considering the impacts and initiatives of the outgoing Governor Yahaya Bello across the State.

The team leader said they were in Ogori to expressed gratitude to Comrade Osiako Ezekiel Sunday, the Kogi State Acting Chairman (NYCN), the people of Oshobane Ward for their support of All Progressives Congress, APC, and Alhaji USMAN AHMED ODODO, the Governor-Elect of Kogi State.
Global Times Nigeria report that the group also offered prayers for sustained peace in Ogori/Magongo and Kogi at large.
In his brief remark, the Kogi State Acting Chairman, NYCN, Comrade Osiako Ezekiel Sunday expressed his appreciation to the people of OSHOBANE WARD for their support, commitment and at ensuring APC’s Ododo emerged victorious.
Osiako Ezekiel Sunday also acknowledged the financial support from Dr. Shaibu Orisha and Hon Mutari Bello (M-BIG), he according to him contributed immensely to the success of Alhaji USMAN AHMED ODODO at the just concluded election.
The elated NYCN Chairman noted that campaigns and elections should now be put behind to form a platform that will usher in peace, unity and development to the area.
He called on key political actors and stakeholders to foster peace amongst themselves and extend support to the esteemed Governor, Alhaji YAHAYA BELLO, for a more prosperous Kogi state.
