Kogi Guber: SDP promises to restore dignity of Teachers, LG workers.


A head of November Governorship election, the Social Democratic party, (SDP), Kogi state chapter, has promised that Teachers and local government workers will regain their status and settle entitlements.

The running mate to the SDP Governorship candidate, Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, Hon. Sam Ranti Abenemi, while addressing a large crowd at Gadumo urged the people to vote out the All Progressives Congress (APC), so that their unfortunate and pitiable condition will be reversed .

He urged them to utilize their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs), to effect the needed change that will turnaround the mess and unfortunate situation they found themselves since the last seven years.

The SDP Governorship running mate,, who served at various times as state commissioner of water resources and executive chairman of Lokoja local government council, hinted that the party and its candidate have a well thought out and integrated master plan to bring socio-economic transformation to all the nooks and crannies of the state..

Chief Sam Ranti Abenemi enjoined the citizens to ensure that they collect their permanent voter cards from the Independent National Election Commission (INEC).

He noted with optimism that their votes for Muri/Sam will count as the Federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not condone violence and election fraud as witnessed in the past.

On empowerment, Abenemi promised that an interest free loan of five hundred thousand naira will be given to 31 thousand women in the 21 local government areas in the first phase to boost their economic wellbeing, if voted in to office.

To demystify the causes of abject poverty among the people, Youth and women will be given loans for agri-business to enable them contribute and participate actively in the socio-economic transformation of the state.

He posited that the people will have date with history if they can vote out Governor ‘Yahaya Bello’, by rejecting Alh.Ahmed Ododo Usman, whom he want to bring through the back door to secured his third term elongation in power
