The member representing Yagba East in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Jimoh Musa-Omiata has debunked reports making the rounds that the Assembly is suffering under the Executive arm of government.
Hon. Omaita while speaking with our reporter in Lokoja said the rumour was false as he never granted any interview to any journalist after arriving from the States recently.
He said the report was a figment of lies by enemies of progress and true democracy, urging the public to ignore it.
According to him, he travelled through the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos, as against the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport as peddled in the report, pointing out that during the last Assembly, the State government released funds for the renovation of the assembly quarters.
He described the relationship between the legislature and the Executive as cordial and advised journalists to cross check facts before publishing.
Alhaji Jimoh pointed out that Governor Yahaya Bello has contributed alot to the development of all sectors of the state economy, noting that no right thinking person will believe the rumour.
He warned those spreading the rumour to desist, adding that God will reward the acts of men on the last day.
On his plans for the people of Yagba East, the lawmaker promised to build on the solid foundation already put in place by his predecessors and create more for the benefit of the constituents.
