The Administrator of Kogi Local Government Area, Hon. Alhaji (Barr.) Muhammed Tanko Musa has been described as a man of positive results oriented impact following his developmental milestones in areas of peace, unity and development since he came on board.
Especially the way he was running up and down to see how the situation of Tawari incidents can fall under security control as the Chief Administrator he has always been advocate of peace, severally initiated a security committee to ensure that all the nooks and crannies of this LG is under the security control and inview of all that he has swung into action to avert future occurrence.
Barr. Tanko, has on Monday restated his council administration’s commitment to partner Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), and any others organizations with positive ideas to consolidate on the dividends and peaceful coexistence through the application of technology and innovation.
Tanko said his Administration was making the right investments in sustaining and maintain peace because it believes that the LG has a future only when there is peace then progress will always follow.
The Chief Administrator made the remarks in his office when some NGOs paid him a courtesy call, he was supported by his council Secretary, Hon. Babaji Ndako, Council Image Maker, Comrade Mohammed Yakubu, Hajia Zainab Ibrahim, HOD Health, Hon. Ibrahim Salihu, SSA to the Administrator on Disaster Management, said that the Mental Health And Wellness initiative programs and policy is yielding positive results and that the changes are happening within the existing system and are spearheaded by the professional indigenous facilitators.
He said rather than asking the government to bring, the NGO is skilling them and rather adding value to the society, he assured that the council under his watch is encouraging any meaningful organisations out there to come in partnership with his administration towards promoting peace, religion tolerance and development, adding that the results have been so excellently. Barr. Tanko added.
Earlier, the facilitator and leader of the group, Mental Health And Wellness Initiative (MHWI), Hajia Salihat Badamasuiy, supported by PRO, Mr. Ismail M. Kabir and Secretary shortly after the introduction of other members told the Chief Executive Administrator that they were in Kogi LG particularly his office to formally intimate him of their mission to Kogi LG.
Hajia Badamasuiy said they are group NGO with aimed providing humanitarian assistance to people with problem as well to report back to government and corporate organization for onward actions.
According to them, the organization is also saddle with responsibility of curtailing societal problems, providing succour to those community and group of persons affected as result of disasters and the objective is to improve the psychological standards in both human behavior and society which are their hosts.
Hajia Salihat Badamasuiy later presented a T-shirt with Face-cap to the Administrator with an inscription boldly written “Our thought is with Tawari community”
The group also visited Ohimegye Kovictimsfe palace, for his royal blessing before taken the relief materials to Tawari community for possible distribution to the affected victims.
The event was anchor by the council PRO and who doubles as NULGE Chairman Kogi LG, Comrade Mohammed Yakubu.
In the same vein the Administrator had earlier played host to another NGO whose mission is on empowerment, advocating for peace and development.
