Kogi LG Boss Suspended, Vice Chairman Steps in as Acting
The Kogi State House of Assembly on Wednesday suspended the Executive Chairman of Kogi Local Government Mr Abdulkareem Isah Sanni AKA Ekomog, over alleged criminal involvement while in office.
The suspension of Sanni was sequel to a resolution by members of the house when the Speaker of the Assembly Prince Mathew Kolawole read a letter from Governor Bello indicting the council boss of alleged criminal activities.
Kolawole in his ruling said the suspension of the council boss will last pending the outcome of the Department of State Service, (DSS) investigation.
He however directed that the Vice Chairman of the Local Government Hasana Jezhi should step in as acting chairman.
