Kogi LG Commissioner Urges Administrators To Synergize With Subordinates

Kogi state Commissioner for Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Momodu Salami Ozigi, has appealed to the Local Council’s Administrators to always work in concert with the Directors of Local Government (DLGs) and the Local Government Treasurers. (LGTs)

Hon. Ozigi who made the appeal during his first official meeting with the Administrators of the Local Governments, Directors and Treasurers of Local Governments, stated that it is imperative to deepen their existing harmonious working relationship that led to the recorded successes of the Bello administration since its inception.

The Commissioner has held a similar meeting with the first class traditional rulers in the state, where he also commended them for their cooperation and support for the administration and urged them to continue in the same vein.

The Hon Commissioner stressed that in view of the strategic role of the Local Governments, there is the need for the DLGs, LGTs and their Administrators to work in synergy and courtesy with utmost respect for professionalism and ethics.

He further charged the Local Government Administrators and their Subordinates to accord mutual respect for each other and show understanding in the discharge of their duties.

He counselled that “position of leadership comes from God and as such, they should not challenge the decision of the almighty.”

The Commissioner finally assured the DLGs and LGTs of cordial atmosphere where the respect and courtesy owe to them shall be accorded expressly.
